Elementary Food Hygiene Training Course Refresher

REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Refresher Training Course

A question we often get asked is “how long does an elementary food hygiene certificate last?”
To the best of our knowledge there is no set time in law for how long a certificate lasts.
However its generally accepted, indeed some environmental health departments take a stong view, that certificates should be renewed every three years. Some employers, the NHS in particular insist on annual renewal of certificates.

For those who have a current REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate, that has been passed within the last three to four years, you can sit a half day refresher course. Candidates must provide TBDS with a copy of their current certificate before attending the course.
This course is designed to keep holders of the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate up to date with current best practice and legislation.BOOK NOW

The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Refresher Course

The refesher course is a half day course run over 3 1/2 hours from 09.15 to 13.00.
Delegates work though a workbook with their trainer to determine any areas of food hygiene that need to be reinforced and any gaps in knowledge that need to be filled. At the end of the session trainees complete a written assessment. Upon successful completion this gives the candidate a REHIS Refresher certificate and an up to date copy of the Royal Environmental Health Institute Scotland Food Hygiene Handbook to take away.REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Refresher Course
